Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there! What a great day to celebrate and it was no different in the Petersen house.

We let Kevin sleep until 10 and then woke him up to feed him blueberry waffles with cream, eggs, sausage, and bacon. After breakfast he got to look at his gifts before we had to get ready for church.

Annie and Taylor make his recliner into a throne with a red carpet and everything and then handed him his gifts to look at. In school Annie created a book titled, "All About My Dad". It was a cute book and she tried to answer all the questions as honestly as possible...maybe too honestly.

There was a question, "What is your Dad's favorite thing to wear?". She put down a dirty t-shirt and dirty gym shorts. I couldn't stop laughing. We decided to ask her why she thought that. She said that since it's all he ever wore, that it must be his favorite outfit.

Kevin had to explain that he wore stained t-shirts and gym shorts to work because he gets messy and doesn't want to mess up any nice clothes. He also explained about his coveralls and how hot it gets which is why he wears the gym shorts. You could see the lightbult click as she got it and she felt a little sheepish, but I think it's funny and I won't let her change it.

Despite his dirty t-shirts and gym shorts Kevin is a wonderful husband and an awesome dad. He works so hard to support our family and he loves each of us completely.
